The Iridium 9575 satellite phone is scheduled to be released in September 2011. This new Iridium phone will have GPS built in and a programmable SOS panic button. The Iridium 9575 is smaller and lighter than its predecessor, the Iridium 9555 and replaces the end of life model 9505a.
E&E Enterprises Global has not yet released any information about the new 9575 to our customers, however, it is our understanding that the phone is currently being tested prior to release. No official pricing information has yet been released, the Iridium 9575 will likely retail at around US $1500 GSA schedule prices will be lower on our GS35F-0779N schedule.
